Lentog is the typical food of Kudus, Central Java. It is called Lentog Tanjung because it comes from the village named Tanjung.
Lentog Tanjung is served in slices of rice cake with jackfruit cooked in coconut milk (seems like gudeg, but the color is pale and less sweet), also added with tempe and tofu. If you want it spicier, you can add with steamed chili, which served in separate bowl. You can also add some side dishes, such as the intestines satay, quail’s eggs satay, bakwan, crackers and others. Lentog Tanjung is served in very simple form, but tasty.
This cuisine is appropriate served as a breakfast menu.
