Markisa is belongs to the genus Passiflora. It comes from  tropical and sub-tropical regions in America. Other names of this fruit are Maracuja (Portuguese), maracuyá (Spain), Passion Fruit (UK), Granadilla (South America and South Africa), Pasiflora (Israel), Lilikoi (Hawaiian), and Lạc Tien, Chanh day or Chanh leo (Vietnamese).

Passiflorance that is widely available in Markisa is useful to pacify the nerves. This fruit also as a source of vitamins, especially vitamin C and vitamin A.

  1. ^ – ^ they are not ripe huh , but the passion fruit is just perfect for baking some “Monte Carlo” , or making some cheese mousse with passion fruit jam..yum > v <
