Candi Ijo ((in Javanese language, “Ijo” means ‘Green’) was built in the 9th century at the ancient Mataram kingdom era. The temple is located on a limestone hill named Ijo dunes which height is 410 m above sea level. Based on the ornaments were found, this temple is an acculturation of Buddhist and Hindu. The temple consists of 17 construction located at 11 terrace.
Visiting this temple, we will find the beautiful scenery. besides the beauty of the temple, we can also see the green sceneries of the trees and grasses on the hill, the cliff and green valley, and the sunset at the dusk.
Candi Ijo is located in Prambanan, Sleman, around 18 kilometers east of Yogyakarta.
