Antique Lamp

teplok2

This antique lamp is commonly called “teplok.” The lamp uses kerosene fuel, and works when the wick burned. Since the use of electricity, this lamp is not used anymore.

Teplok consists of the fuel container, wick, and glass lampshade. The wick is directly contact with the fuel and absorb it slowly to keep burning. In order to stabilize the flame, there is a glass lampshade named semprong. The lights will remain lit until the oil is in the container run out absorbed.

I found this lamp in a food stall, which is displayed as decoration.
